I just started trying out both to replace mySql Browser (because of its stability issues). I am having some speed issues on Querious and is there a keyboard shortcut to run the typed up query.

I want to like SqlPro, but the problem I have with it, is that it lacks Tabbed querying, which I find essential while working with different data. Also, I'm having problems clicking and editing the data. So the jury is still out.

I've used Sequel Pro and Querious. Sequel Pro was working great for me, however, I preferred the UI on Querious and felt that managing and selecting connection profiles was smoother and friendlier.

After purchasing it, and using it quite often after starting a new project...I ran into some frustrations. Often times I would edit a column and the changes would not take place or I'd get constant errors -failing to update the table columns or content.

I went back to their website to perhaps find a list of known issues or even a support forum...nope.

Thanks for the reminder. I've used Navicat before as a trial, but did not buy it. I am starting a new project though that will be using MSSQL, so that may be something to look at again.

Check out Navicat for MySQL Pro.

http://www.navicat.com/en/products/navicat_mysql/mysql_detail_mac.html

It's killer features are such wonderful support for data import, along with data and structure sync between databases.

Navicat Premium, which I didn't know about before today, does all that, plus supports PostgreSQL and Oracle, along with tools for moving/converting between them. Not so useful for me, but might be the deciding factor for others.

They are also working on a SQL Server version.

I have tried Sequel Pro, and I do like it. Right now, I'd give Querious a bit of an edge based on usability alone. I haven't encountered any bugs in Querious yet, and the speed has been good for me. It will be interesting to see if my opinion changes when Sequel Pro hits the 1.0 release, which may be soon.

Overall, I'm just glad that we have more than one to talk about. Competition is the key.

Another vote for Sequel Pro. I've tried both, and like SP better. Querious is a little more friendly, but Sequel Pro is faster and bug-proof.

Hey Chris... curious as to whether or not you've looked at Sequel Pro (http://www.sequelpro.com/)?

I'm slowly making the move over to mySQL, and started playing around with Sequel Pro, which looks pretty good out of the gate. Haven't looked at Querious yet myself, but I might, as I've heard other people recommend it as well.
